Yes. In Portugal, any grid-connected system must be registered as a UPAC (Self-Consumption Production Unit) with DGEG. We handle the entire process — you only sign the required authorisations.
For a home, a typical 4 to 6 kWp system costs between €5,000 and €9,500 including installation. The price depends on the system size, panel type and roof characteristics. The quote we send within 48 hours gives the exact price for your situation.
Panels still generate power from diffuse light, just at lower efficiency — typically 20 to 40% of peak capacity. On sunless days the home draws from the grid as normal, just as before. The system manages this automatically.
Yes. A storage battery lets you keep the energy generated during the day and use it at night, when the panels aren't producing. It increases self-sufficiency but also the upfront investment. We'll assess whether it makes sense for your situation during the site visit.
That's exactly what we assess during the free visit. We look at orientation (South is ideal, South-East and South-West also work well), pitch and available area. Even partially shaded roofs can have viable solutions. If it's not feasible, we'll tell you straight away.
The physical installation typically takes 1 to 2 days. The full process, from site visit to grid connection, takes 4 to 8 weeks on average — the variable time is in the UPAC approval and the grid operator's response, which is outside our control. We keep you updated at every step.
